Quarks appear to have a muscular system comprised of calcium and carbon, it's a wonder that their flesh is as so supple and not brittle. They also have armor that almost entirely covers their head. It seems to be made out of bone.
During the height of the Quark invasion, a Dr Kazu Murakami proposed the contruction of wide-area electrostatic field to stop the appearance of Quarks in the affected area, however his proposal was met with severe backlash as it could prove harmful to humans, eventually the remaining leaders caved in and give him funding, a experience team of engineers and scientists. His creation had help secure whats left of humanity from Quarks. Later improvements and adjustments made it suitable for covering large areas with minimal risk to human health.
While these Quarks are secluded in mystery to most of humanity, some groups have discovered ways to exploit Quarks for their own benifits. These groups themselves are commonly known as Bandits, using the Quark invasion to fill their unknown needs. They currently have the unknown means of causing the appearance of Quarks which has benefiited them greatlly with resources, territory and weapons for which they use on the WDF and private groups for there own purposes.
